Aim
This unit illustrates the skills, knowledge and understanding required to be deemed trained to cut and join materials using a variety of techniques. Learners will undertake preparation activities before cutting and joining materials using appropriate techniques. They will then carry out completion activities on conclusion of the work.


Assessment guidance and/or requirements
Assessment of learners’ knowledge and understanding will be undertaken through practical assignment and questioning based
activities undertaken in the training environment.
Learners must complete at least four from the list in AC 5.2
