Coronavirus update for customers

Understand employment and education opportunities in the media sector.

  • 1.1 - Research potential opportunities within one sector of the media industry in relation to:
    a) business
    b) employment
    c) higher education.

Be able to evaluate own personal qualities and available resources that may be used to start their own business, gain employment or move on to higher education.

  • 2.1 - Evaluate own qualities to include:
    a) attributes
    b) skills
    c) relevant achievements
    d) experience and interests. 
  • 2.2 - Evaluate own and other resources that may be available to them in order to either: 
    a) start own business
    b) gain employment
    c) progress to higher education.
3

Understand own potential career or study routes.

  • 3.1 - Produce a personal plan outlining possible career study routes within a chosen media sector.

Be able to prepare a portfolio of media work for use when looking for an employment or higher education opportunity.

  • 4.1 - Prepare relevant personal information for either:
    a) business opportunity
    b) employment
    c) higher education application.
  • 4.2 - Prepare a portfolio of their own media work for review during either:
    a) business presentation
    b) higher education
    c) job interview.
