The aim of this unit is to provide the learner with the skills to: • identify, select and install weathering membranes and units to manufacturers’ instructions: – LSA (Lead Sheet Association) – BS 5534 and BS 8000-6 for roofing installation requirements. The skills developed by the learner include: • forming and installing metal and supplied flashings and weathering to roof junctions • measuring, cutting and fixing, positioning and dressing weathering to a variety of slates and tiles.
