Please note: On Wednesday 15th April 2026, Quartzweb will be temporarily unavailable while we carry out essential system updates.

The upgrade is scheduled to take place from 4:00pm–4:30pm, during which time centres will be unable to access the QuartzWeb system. Our Customer Service and Operations teams will also be unable to access Quartz during this time, meaning they will not be able to answer calls.

Aim
This unit is about the administrative role of arranging for the right goods or equipment to be delivered, collected or returned to the right places at the right times. This involves ensuring that you have all the information you need, contacting the appropriate carriers in good time and giving them clear instructions about the deliveries you need them to make. You also need to show that you keep your line manager informed about any likely delays, and that you give the necessary information and documentation to those who will load and deliver the goods or equipment so that they can do so efficiently.


Assessment guidance and/or requirements
This unit must be assessed in a work environment, in accordance with the ConstructionSkills‘ Consolidated Assessment Strategy for Construction and the Built Environment.
Assessors for this unit must have verifiable, current industry experience and a sufficient depth of relevant occupational expertise and knowledge, and must use a combination of assessment methods as defined in the Consolidated Assessment Strategy.
Workplace evidence of skills cannot be simulated.
