Aim
This unit is about recovering goods that have been on-hire to customers from the customer’s premises (or site) and receiving goods returned by the customer. You are required to be aware of goods that are due for return or those that need to be collected from customers. You are expected to check that goods are recovered or returned in the kind of condition that is acceptable to your company and, where necessary, apply any penalties or extra payments that the customer is responsible for if the goods are not returned in the correct condition. You are also expected to make sure that the goods are returned to
storage and kept in the correct conditions. The performance for the unit should be taken as a whole as there are aspects of recovery that are contained within the outcome relating to receiving goods off hire like making checks on returned/recovered goods and dealing with contractual issues like returning deposits etc.
