Coronavirus update for customers

NOCN Group offers a wide range of services including regulated qualifications, EPA for apprenticeships, Job Cards in construction, Access to HE Diplomas, bespoke accreditation, and educational and skills support training.

As you will be aware the government imposed a third national lockdown from Tuesday 5th January 2021. You will find out more operational detail on the implications for each of these services through the following links:

Update 29th March 2021

On 24th March, Ofqual published the VTQ Contingency Regulatory Framework (VCRF) which allows NOCN to provide centres with awarding arrangements for learners who have had their training and assessment disrupted in 2021. Cable Avoidance

This course was developed in conjunction with Leica Geosystems, one of the leading cable avoidance equipment manufacturers in the world. Leica Geosystems provide the Train the Trainer course for all trainers wishing to offer this course.

Course Content 

The course aims to provide individuals with a knowledge and understanding of how the Cable Avoidance equipment works, the limitations, applications and the consequences of not implementing correct Cable Avoidance procedures. It will cover detecting and tracing methods.

Course Structure

• One day course
• Classroom based training
• Practical Training in the use of equipment
• Theory and Practical assessment

This course is aimed at a wide group of learners who need to use detection equipment to locate underground services, this could be ground workers, highways maintenance, surveyors, utilities workers and more
