Agriculture, Horticulture and Environmental

NOCN has a variety of products to support people entering agriculture, horticulture and environmental professions.

NOCN Group offers regulated qualifications, Access to HE, SiteRight – assured short courses, and CPCS cards for the agriculture, horticulture and environmental sector. Find out more information about specific products below.

Agriculture, horticulture and environmental qualifications support learners new to the sector by providing knowledge of health and safety, the production of plants, the use of tools and the skills demanded by the industry.

An Access to Higher Education Land Based studies course is a one-year course to prepare adult learners who want to study at degree level, but do not currently have the qualifications to apply.  This course is specifically designed to give learners the foundation skills and knowledge, with a strong science focus, for studying a land-based degree.

The Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) part of NOCN Job Cards is the leading skills certification scheme for plant within the UK.  It provides proof that individuals have the required training and qualifications for the type of work they carry out and CPCS cards can be used for agricultural works.

In 2019, NOCN began to develop a range of assured short course for the UK construction industry.  However, many of these course offer skills and knowledge required by the Agriculture, Horticulture and Environmental industry, for example, Vehicle Marshalling or Working at Heigh and Using a harness.

NOCN Group provides skills and education consultancy and research advice across multiple sectors including the agriculture, horticulture and environmental industry in the UK and internationally for employers, professional bodies and governments.
