Meeting the needs of the Construction Sector
NOCN offers a range of high quality, innovative construction qualifications, apprenticeships and end point assessments, designed in partnership with employers and training providers to meet the needs of the sector, helping to plug vital skills gaps and supporting major developments, such as home building, HS2 and Nuclear.
Cskills Awards – the name for NOCN Construction Qualifications
NOCN delivers construction products and services through the well recognised and respected brand Cskills Awards. Previously part of CITB, Cskills Awards is now a core part of the NOCN Awarding Organisation, regulated by Ofqual. NOCN has qualifications available from Entry to Level 7 in a wide range of subjects.
Now NOCN construction qualifications are named as ‘NOCN_Cskills Awards…’
There is a wide range of products and services available in construction, alongside a dedicated and personal approach which altogether provides Centres with great flexibility, choice and support:
- A broad range of competence (NVQ) and training qualifications available, with alternative routes available for experienced workers and new entrants to the industry.
- Over 90 NVQs and over 271 pathways or specialisations – more than any other AO.
- NOCN Level 6 and 7 qualifications approved for Membership of CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building).
- 80 Training Qualifications for full time learners; 13 approved for Performance Tables (T-Levels) for prioritised Government funding.
Added value solutions
NOCN offers a range of service solutions to support Centres in delivering an exceptional experience to candidates, including Skillsfile (our ePortfolio system) and a phone app for candidates to practice test questions in their own time. Regular events and workshops across the UK help to keep customer knowledge, skills and experience up to date on products, services, systems and procedures.
Listening to customers
NOCN strives to continuously improve the service it offers through technology and creativity. Most importantly, we listen to you and ensure we are responsive to your needs, dealing in an open and approachable manner to deliver world class customer experiences.
When a centre registers to become an approved NOCN Centre, they are allocated a dedicated Customer Coordinator and External Verifier. The Customer Coordinator is the single point of contact for all queries and requests, including new qualification approvals, course and candidate registrations, listening to comments and suggestions and feeding them into our future plans to improve the efficiency of our services.
