Level 3 Free Courses for Jobs
Originally launched as The National Skills Fund, the free courses for jobs offer is intended to help adults gain the skills needed to improve their job prospects.
What is Level 3 Free Courses for Jobs?
The Level 3 Free Courses for Jobs (previously known as the National Skills Fund) aims to help adults without Level 3, or those with a Level 3 who are unemployed or on a low wage, gain a Level 3 qualification.
How can it be used?
The funding is shared across England, and it is then spilt between combined authorities and national funding.
Who is eligible?
- Aged 19 or over and do not already have a level 3 qualification.
- Already have a level 3 qualification or higher but earn below the National Living Wage annually (£20,319 from April 2023).
- Already have a level 3 qualification or higher but are unemployed.
Learners are eligible for funding through free courses for jobs from 1st August 2024 if they:
- Aged 19 or over on 31st August; and
- Meet the eligibility of being below the earnings threshold of £25,000 annual gross salary.
