These apprenticeship frameworks are designed to enable children and young people to develop holistically, working to facilitate their personal, social and educational development, enabling them to develop their voice, influence and place in society and to reach their full potential. Youth Workers play an important role in this process by supporting children and young people in their personal, social and educational development, normally as part of a wider team delivering or organising formal and informal education opportunities in a variety of settings.
Apprentices in the youth work sector deliver youth and community support work in local and area projects, helping to run arts-based activities, community/environmental projects, residential activities, outdoor education and sporting activities.
